Hero Update : Battle Page Redesign
Last week, we introduced to you the Hero Update and the new inventory/equipment system. Since then, we have been working on redesigning the main battle page. We were searching for a better way to display the battle informations and for users to show their heroes and see other player’s heroes.
Note that this new page has not yet been added to the app, it will be added when we’ll release the first version of the Hero Update.
First, we wanted an easier way to display the battle informations (houses performances, graphs, buttons,…etc.). The old version with the multiple cards needed too much scrolling and clicking, and might have been a bit confusing for new players.
A while a ago, a member of the community sent us a redesign of the battle page, we really liked it and used it as a base for this new version. You can now compare the performances of the houses in the blink of an eye.
Second, we wanted a nice way to display the heroes informations. Something that brings back the style of the inventory/equipment page inside the main battle page. We were looking for a way to make it more “gamy”, like the score table in popular multiplayer FPS.
To create a bit of competition, we displayed the potential loss/reward of each heroes, as well as the items they looted during the battle. Players are also able to check the full picture of other player’s heroes by clicking on them.
We can’t wait to hear what you think of this new design and we hope you will like it. The next step for us are the following :
- adapt these two new pages on mobile
- finish the backend that’s connected to the new pages
- find a good designer that will draw us armors/weapons in the same style as this character (if you are interested and have the skills, please contact us!!)
